Block adult sites on every device you own.
ZenTab protects Chrome on your computer. Phones and tablets need one more step, because Chrome there doesn't run extensions. A free network filter closes that gap and works below the browser, so it covers every browser, every app and every Incognito tab.
- Every browser and app
- Incognito and private tabs
- Free, about 2 minutes
Is this device protected?
Checks whether known adult sites are unreachable from here. Nothing is opened or shown.
Set up a device
Android
About 1 minute- 1Open Settings → Network & internet. On Samsung: Connections → More connection settings.
- 2Tap Private DNS → Private DNS provider hostname.
- 3Paste the hostname below and tap Save.
- 4Come back to this page and tap Test this device.
adult-filter-dns.Works on Wi-Fi and mobile data, in Chrome, Samsung Internet, every other browser and every app, including Incognito tabs.
Android lets anyone switch this back. Test this phone while signed in with your Gmail: your dashboard then shows when each device was last confirmed protected, so a friend or partner you share it with can keep you honest.
Computers
The ZenTab extension blocks adult sites in Chrome with urge challenges, Strict Mode and Incognito coverage. Add the network filter for other browsers and apps.
Phones and tablets
Chrome on phones can't run extensions, so the network filter does the blocking: every browser, every app, Wi-Fi and mobile data.
Your home Wi-Fi
Set it once on the router and every device at home is covered too, including TVs, consoles and guests' phones.
One Gmail, every device
Sign in with the same Google account in the extension and on this page on each phone. Your dashboard lists every device, whether it's protected, and when that was last confirmed.
Does this work in Incognito?
Yes. The filter sits below the browser, so private windows, Incognito tabs and other browsers all get the same answer: the site doesn't exist.
Does ZenTab see what I browse?
No. Lookups go straight from your device to CleanBrowsing Adult Filter, a free, independent DNS service. ZenTab only stores whether a device passed the test, and only if you're signed in.
Why can't the extension run on my phone?
Chrome on Android and iPhone doesn't support extensions. The network filter works on every phone instead, and it covers apps too, which an extension never could.
Will it break normal sites?
No. The adult filter only blocks adult sites (and known malware). Search engines are switched to SafeSearch, and sites like Reddit and YouTube keep working.
